Dr Huda Younis OBSTETRICIAN & GYNAECOLOGIST
MBCHB FRANZCOG
Dr Huda Younis is an Australian and New Zealand trained and qualified Obstetrician and Gynaecologist. After obtaining her MBChB from Baghdad in 1988, Huda worked in New Zealand for a number of years before moving to Brisbane where she obtained her fellowship with the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) in 2004. Huda and her family then made the move to Canberra where she has been in private practice since 2006.
Huda participates in ongoing education and risk management programs. Her areas of interest are general Gynaecology (pelvic pain, cycle problems, heavy menstrual bleeding, polyps, fibroids, ovarian cysts, contraception and menopause), endoscopy (minimal invasive surgery) and colposcopy (vulva, vagina and abnormal pap smears). Although she has a strong love of obstetrics, Huda is not currently taking on any obstetric patients.
Huda speaks Arabic and English. She is happily married to Yarub, the love of her life, and has one grown up son.

Dr Rebecca McCormack OBSTETRICIAN & GYNAECOLOGIST
MBBS FRANZCOG
Dr Rebecca McCormack is a fully qualified Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in Canberra.
Rebecca specialises in providing skilled obstetric and gynaecological services including vaginal deliveries, management of healthy pregnancies, caesarean section deliveries, coping with the physical and emotional changes during pregnancy, preconception (pregnancy planning) assessment and advice, and high-risk pregnancy including gestational diabetes, hypertension, IVF pregnancies, management of pre-term labour, pregnancy with multiple babies (twins, etc.), along with many additional gynaecological issues.

Dianne Deer Registered Midwife/Registered Nurse.
Dianne has extensive experience as a nurse manager & midwife, working within birth suite, postnatal, antenatal and the Special Care Nursery in both Public and Private Hospitals.
Dianne also spent several years working in Aboriginal maternal and child health units in Alice Springs.
Dianne is married and has 3 grown up children.

Anna Taylor Practice Manager
Anna has worked within the medical industry for the past 11 years, with the last 8 years in practice management roles across Radiology, Ophthalmology and General Surgery.
Anna moved from a small island town in Norway to Canberra in the early 90’s, but tries to travel back each couple of years. Anna is a self-confessed cookbook addict, a keen baker, wanderlusty, wife and mum to 3 amazing children.

Sally Burrell Medical Receptionist
Sally started working with us in 2019. Prior to joining the team at Gaia, Sally worked in Radiology for multiple years.
Sally grew up in Canberra and enjoys 4-wheel driving and Ice Hockey (go the Canberra Brave!)
