Dr Huda Younis is an Australian and New Zealand trained and qualified Obstetrician and Gynaecologist. After obtaining her MBChB from Baghdad in 1988, Huda worked in New Zealand for a number of years before moving to Brisbane where she obtained her fellowship with the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) in 2004. Huda and her family then made the move to Canberra where she has been in private practice since 2006.
Huda participates in ongoing education and risk management programs. Her areas of interest are general Gynaecology (pelvic pain, cycle problems, heavy menstrual bleeding, polyps, fibroids, ovarian cysts, contraception and menopause), endoscopy (minimal invasive surgery) and colposcopy (vulva, vagina and abnormal pap smears). Although she has a strong love of obstetrics, Huda is not currently taking on any obstetric patients.
Huda speaks Arabic and English. She is happily married to Yarub, the love of her life, and has one grown up son.
